Straightener’s Stout is a recording of some of the bands more well known songs when they added a member to become a four man band.

The addition one a lead guitar on some of the songs was unnecessary because the songs were already really solid, but I was unaware how good the songs could become when they were a bit more layered and dense.

Stout shows that the band is willing to work on their songs and make them even better from the high standards that already existed. It’s a necessary release for any fan because the songs are recorded amazingly and the overall product of the release is more than a remake, it’s an entirely new album.
