J. Rabbit – It’s Spring Review

When I first listened to J. Rabbit, I found the pitch of the vocals a bit distracting. Then I watched some of the youtube videos featuring J. Rabbit and I realized that many of the songs on the debut were recorded straight along with video.

From that point, I listened to It’s Spring from start to finish and found an incredible indie album. A bit of a half and half (covers/originals), J. Rabbit really show off the light and melodic side of Korean indie music. It has all the markings of great music when combined with a full band, but with the combination of just acoustics and vocals, it has a different feeling.

J. Rabbit can go many places with their potential and I hope to hear something with a full band backing the duo and seeing how the music can develop.
