Miaou – All Around Us Review

Miaou is a cross of indie and math-rock. The rhythms of the songs are simple and complex with the arrangements of the songs adding multiple layers.

The instruments of All Around Us make the album much different. It has a strange tone. It doesn’t necessarily need the synth that it adds on some of the songs, but when other tracks are just instruments without any added effects, the album takes a turn.

There are ten tracks to Miaou’s 2008 album and can feel like two different albums in one. It’s worth the listen because the mixture of the genres hasn’t been done this well before.
