Serengeti – Colors of Love Review

I find it difficult to place Serengeti in any real genre. Colors of Love is one part indie, jazz, easy listening, and rock.

Every track has something different to give to the album and the variety should add a sense of a lack of cohesion, but in this case it actually brings things together. Elements from each song make appearances on other tracks and overall, the album does have a concrete voice.

Though this might not be seen on specific tracks, listeners will hear a definite sound. I think Serengeti might work best with their ballad/indie songs. The light tone of the album is a nice treat when walking.

It’s a dense album even though it doesn’t sound like it from the first song. Give it time and Colors of Love will give you a lot more.
