Since my first exposure to Maki Goto was her debut through Morning Musume, it’s interesting to hear a best of album from 2001-2007. It’s a nostalgic listen because I remember following her releases for a while.

The best of album also shows how unseasoned she was as a singer in the beginning and the large progress that she went through as her experience grew. The double album contains her singles and some sub-group songs.

Goto’s album does expose her gradual improvement in her vocals and even includes Korean language versions of some of the singles. The double album is great to complete a collection of her releases and highlights one of the more prominent singers for Jpop.
