시와 (Siwa) – Self-titled Review

The four song EP from 시와 is a sparse, acoustic release. Combining elements of jazz and indie together, the light tones of the songs arrives when in joins with the vocals.

Even though the EP is four songs, there doesn’t seem to be any rush with the music. Organically arriving and speaking, the music has a calming effect that forms around the vocals.

시와’s vocals sound very natural without trying to hit falsetto in any moments of the songs. The musical themes of the album fit the songs perfectly, sounding like an acoustic show around a campfire.

A wonderful EP from 2007.
