Loveholic – Nice Dream Review

Loveholic’s style of indie rock continued on their third album. Nice Dream’s 2006 release contains the same core sound, but adds some new arcs in the arrangements of the music.

The thirteen tracks have the older sound of Loveholic and some new more experimental styles like adding ethereal vocals over minimalist melodies. It’s a wonderful mix of music on the album and moves back and forth.

Even though it’s probably not meant, the songs do have a ballad vocal tone with the melodic elements staying longer than the verse. The variety on the album is its strength and Loveholic is an important band for indie music.
