Amy. – 3 Colors Review

Amy sounds like a Japanese band playing ballad pop punk. I can also hear influences from Art-School and Asian Kung-fu Generation in the music added with Baseball Bear and some 175r. It’s a strange combination of styles together, but in the end sounds like a standard representation of Japanese rock.

3 Colors is a little old, being from 2006, but is a window into the style that many bands played during that year. Amy. sounds like it’s focusing on melodic rock songs that want to present the vocals as the front. The instrumentals are well played, but the mix of the album puts them behind the vocals on every song.

There isn’t anything new with 3 Colors, but a solid and standard Japanese rock album.
