Met – Have We Met? Review

Met is strange. I never heard what sounds like alt-country from South Korea, but Met pulls it off very well. It also pulls influence from folk rock at the same time.

The album really focuses on the vocals and the instrumentals are purely accompaniments that border the singing. While Met’s vocals aren’t perfectly melodic, there is a strange matching to the music.

Even with seven songs, Met greets different genres and the songs each have their own presence on the album.”Trolley” is my favorite song on the album partially because it sounds a little more like indie rock than alt-country or folk.

But Have We Met? has great songs and is more impressive than I thought from first listen. The release may take a little time to sink in, but it becomes a wonderful addition to the library of Korean music.
