MBLAQ – Just BLAQ Review

I never really got into MBLAQ like B2ST. I thought they were good, but they didn’t have any real spark that differentiated them from other idol groups.

Going back to their first release, it’s easy to see why. There’s nothing in the three songs that speaks out as different. Just BLAQ has a lot of elements that sound different, but added all together, there isn’t a crescendo to any of the songs.

The lead “Oh Yeah” has way too much repetition in the chorus. It almost sounds like it takes most of the song. “G.O.O.D. Luv” could be any Kpop ballad song. “My Dream” is a R&B song that has no soul.

They are doing much better in 2012 with their releases, but they started really slow.
