miss A – Touch Review

I think miss A’s A Class was an excellent album full of upbeat and addictive tracks.

Touch is a strange tangent and step back in their sound. Even with the title single “Touch,” the mini-album is missing the energy that previous releases had. The single sounds so strange because the accompanying instrumentals are using non-standard melodies.

“Touch” is especially better heard and not seen as their live performances are lacking energy. The other singles are all pulled from different directions creating a lack of cohesion with the release. I think the other songs on the album are a lot better than “Touch” though.

Even “No Mercy” which is full of consistently repeating lines has a lot more personality than “Touch.” I’m not sure what miss A were trying to portray in their new release, but it’s not their best release and a step down from A Class.
