Park Jiyoon – The Tree of Life Review

I know nothing about Park Jiyoon other than she was previously a Kpop singer in the past. Moving from pop to the new ballad style that is The Tree of Life, you can actually hear her ability to carry melody and weave her voice around the instrumentals of songs.

There is some variety on the songs, even pop rock appears, but most of the songs are slower and allow Park Jiyoon to sit on beats pretty easily. Her voice is interesting because it’s not entirely melodic and has a strange layer over her voice. It sounds like it’s actually limiting her vocals.

Don’t expect a lot of variety on The Tree of Life. It sits securely in ballad territory, even when it’s slightly exploring new genres.
